Ulster President Address AGM
Ulster President Aoghan Farrell has created a piece of history - he is the first
sitting President of the Provincial Council to attend the AGM of the Ulster GAA Writers'
Association. Aoghan, at his own request, addressed the meeting in Quinn's Corner
on Thursday, May 13 for a 'get-to-know-you' meeting during which he praised the UGAAWA
for the work they have been doing over the years.
He also welcomed the close association that has been established between the Ulster
GAA Council and the writers' association and hoped that this would continue and be
made even stronger. The President also took a question and answer session during
which many topics were discussed.
In fact, it was a double first for the President as, during his time as Ulster Press Officer, he became the first member of the Council to attend an UGAAWA banquet.
