Ulster President Aoghan Farrell has created a piece of history - he is the first
sitting president of the Provincial council to attend the AGM of the Ulster GAA Writers'
Association. Aoghan, at his own request, addressed the
meeting in Quinn's Corner
on Thursday, May 13 for a 'get-to-know-you' meeting during which he praised the UGAAWA
for the work they have been doing
over the years.

With the number of unexpected results thrown up during JULY 2010 there was bound
to be various contenders for our monthly Quinn Insurance/
UGAAWA Merit Award for last
month and so it was.

BE AHEAD OF THE TICKET RUSH
Time flies by all too quickly and within the matter of
a few weeks we will be hosting our 23rd Annual Presentation Banquet at which the
yearly awards, in all sections of the GAA, will be distributed.
The date is Friday,
November 19 and the venue is the Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell.
We are now ready,
willing and able to take orders for tickets which can be booked with treasurer Tony
McGee by e-mail (tony.mcgee@btinternet.com)
or by letter to 'Erne Villa', 20 Stewartstown
Park, Belfast BT11 9GL. Indeed, some regular patrons have already secured their tickets
which, incidentally, can be booked in bulk, e.g. by table(s) of 10, or individually.

The cost per person is £50 or €60.
